Within the scope of ICV-7, a free-of-charge international vetiver handicraft training course will be held on 29 – 31 May 2023, all day, at the Shangri-La Hotel, Chiang Mai, Thailand. The training course is opened to all of those who work in the handcraft industry or simply interested in using vetiver leaves in handicraft-making and applying this initiative in their countries.

The training course, supported by the PTT Public Company Limited, aims at providing participants with a comprehensive overview of the entire vetiver handicraft-making process as well as instructing them in detail how to make real products themselves. Similar training courses had also been organized during previous ICVs in Thailand, China, Venezuela, India and Vietnam.

No registration fee has to be paid for attending the International Handicraft Training Course. All trainees will receive, as a compliment from the Organizing Committee, all coffee breaks, meals during the conference period. However, the participants are required to pay for their own domestic/international travel and accommodation during the conference period.
